GOAL

• Garden is to be a place of beauty to create & instill participation in breast cancer awareness & remember the lives that this disease touches.
• Location of garden: A public area — walking paths, hospitals, libraries, rest areas, etc.
• Commitment to/planting of this project must occur Saturday, Oct 27, 2007.

SUGGESTIONS

• Use pink KNOCK OUT roses to correspond with the project to KNOCK OUT Breast Cancer, but you may use another color if desired.
• Plant ONE knock out rose for your garden this year & continue to add roses every Oct 27th OR plant to your budget & hearts delight.

Please document club/individual participation and also pictures and any media coverage

• Submit immediately following the project date of October 27, 2007. It is to be judge for landscape, and educational purposes. These gardens will be judged per district / selecting one state wide winner. Every club will receive a beautiful certificate of appreciation for their work/( LGCF, Inc).
• A collage of all gardens will be made from pictures that are submitted. The "BEST OF THE BEST" will be on display at the state convention.
• The State winner will receive a beautiful traveling crystal piece.
• Project chairman, Mary Hazen will also compile all award applications as a whole, in hopes that LGCF, Inc. can win the $10,000 from Make a Difference Day, to donate to Breast Cancer Research.
• Submit Award Entry form (PDF printable form) and photos to Mary Hazen as soon as possible. She must postmark and mail the entire entry to USA Weekend by November 16th.
