The Stem and Stamen Garden Club of Amite had recently awarded the November "Garden of the Month" to Jimmy and Judy Williams. The Williams reside on Tobey Drive in Tycer Park.
Their
beautiful corner lot is wonderfully landscaped with many evergreens
such as little gem magnolias, Mexican heathers, azaleas, camillias,
gardenias and a huge sago palm just to name a few. They also have lots
of seasonals in bloom now (pansys, dianthus, mums, and etc.)
Be sure to take a drive by and enjoy the spirit of the fall colors and don't miss the festive mailbox! Thanks to Jimmy and Judy for their contribution to the "Beautification of Amite"!
The Stem and Stamen Garden Club of Amite has recently awarded the October "Garden of the Month" to Tom and Jo Stephens. The
Stephens reside on the southeast corner of Second and Pecan Streets.
Their huge corner lot adorns numerous landscaped beds around the home
and patio with daylilies, azaleas, Cleyera and assorted hollys edged
with beautiful aztec grass. There is a separate bed of knockout roses
as well as a street corner bed highlighted with maiden grass. In
addition, the west exposure of the home displays a gorgeous seven foot
trellis completely covered with confederate jasmine, which will be a
wonderful eye catcher in the Spring!
Do yourself a favor and
drive by to take in the beauty and hard work that goes into not only
having a great yard that pleases the homeowners but also is an addition
to our club theme "Beautification of Amite". Thanks Tom and Jo! October 2012
