2007 Club News

Much of the first few months of the year were in planning for the LGCF
State Convention held in Lake Charles.
The club collected Door Prizes, Ditty Bag Items and was in charge of the
table favors for the Awards Banquet. Using the Rice Theme, they made small
sacks with drawstrings, inserting plastic bags inside them with 1 cup of
rice. Attached was a rice recipe.
During the Southwest Louisiana Garden Festival, the club was in charge
of making desserts for the Flower Show judges' luncheon. One club member
won honorable mention with her flower show entry.
Gifts for residents of Rosewood Nursing Home were distributed.
The club is on a 3 month rotation with other area clubs to weed flower beds at the Civic Center. |
