ALEXANDRIA GARDEN CLUB
THEN and NOW
April 2007
The Garden Club hosted "Then and Now," a small presentation of creative flower designs from Alexandria and Pineville gardeners at the Alexandria Community Center on Bolton Avenue. Society has seen many recent technological and social changes, but few have noticed the advancements in horticulture. The show was held to show how gardening has changed with the design of landscapes.

Members took a field trip in May 2006 to the Federation Headquarters House.
They held a short meeting indoors and had their picnic lunch inside and
outside. Afterwards, Susanne Jones led them to Smith's Landing and spoke
about that building's history.
