A Certificate of Merit and $25 will be given to a Garden Club for outstanding Roadside  Improvement. Second Place will receive $15 and a certificate of Merit, Third Place $10. Honorable Mention certificates will be awarded, if merited.

The show to have been staged the current Award calendar year. Any Standard Flower Show schedule, except a State Show, may apply for Award No. 9.

With more than one club sponsoring a Standard Flower Show, ONLY ONE schedule should be submitted for this Award. However, each club involved in a winning schedule will receive the Award No. 9. A Certificate of Merit will be given to those schedules scoring 90 or above according to the revised (1989) Point System. (See next page)

AWARD TO CLUB

A Certificate of Merit and $25.00 may be awarded to the Club contributing most to the community through cooperation with public officials, and service organizations, etc. Award may be received only once by an individual or club. See General Rules

A plaque presented annually may be awarded to a member of a Federated Club, a member club or group of Federated Garden Clubs for the best Conservation Exhibit staged within a Standard Flower Show. Application shall include one picture, a typewritten description and a written evaluation by judges from the standpoint of educational value, message impact, design, harmony, and simplicity.

 

AWARD NO. 7 - B

AWARD TO INDIVIDUAL

A medallion or charm may be awarded to an LGCF member whose Garden Club activity through the years has contributed most to the community. Individual must be nominated by a Federated Garden Club and may receive this award only once in a lifetime. 

Award application should include a summary of the individual’s activities and verification in the form of pictures, press clippings, letters or any other pertinent material. Award may be received only once by an individual or club.

AWARD NO. 12 - B

SPECIAL CONSERVATION

A Louisiana Native Plant Certificate of Merit will be given to clubs whose entire membership grows at least one native plant (Louisiana Garden Club Federation native plant list) in their gardens. Each Garden Club must grow at least five (5) different varieties from the Louisiana list and each member must have the selected plant in her possession at least three (3) months in order to qualify for said award.

A $5.00 award may be awarded to Garden Club, a group of Garden Clubs, or a District for the best garden-oriented programming in the following categories: Louisiana Garden Club Federation, Inc. Certificate of Merit to be awarded to a single member club or clubs for meritorious achievement in any of the following conservation activities: Education, Legislative, Field Projects or Year’s Overall Program.Yearbook Necessary.
8-A - Radio Certificates may be awarded as merited. The highest scoring activity will be submitted to National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc. under Award No. 6.

In A or B, section 1, scripts of programs must be submitted, typewritten, each under its own title, with date and length, and complete enough to clearly indicate the extent of coverage achieved. Include index of the entire series by date and  subject, and one taped recording (audio or video cassette) of any ONE of the programs.
In A or B, section 2, submit scripts of PSA’s, including length and date first aired.  
In A or B, section 3, submit tape of aired segment. NOTE: Request tapes of PSA’s (unless you furnished tape), programs, orsegments from the station to assure best quality video
