Sybil Colicchio, LGCF President

Message from LGCF President
March 2009

My Dear Friends,

Here it is April, and the beautiful Merry-Go-Round I've been riding the past two years will be coming to a stop for me. But, what a great ride it has been! I will certainly miss the good friends I've made, but will be happy knowing you are going to be in good hands. Donna and her staff will be outstanding leaders. Please continue your good work and helping hands.

I know I will continue the friendships I've made - they will be forever. I can't begin to name all the wonderful ladies who have stood by me. I had a wonderful Executive Board, talented District Directors, and very competent Committee Chairmen. We had a super two years.

This year we were able, because of you, to distribute $14,250.00 in scholarship funds. We made our Deep South Project "Dollars for Scholars" a lot of fun. Our Ways and Means Deep South Project "Flower Hour" proved to be a successful project and everyone joyfully joined in to make it a success.

We dedicated many new Highway Markers these past two years. We entertained and enjoyed our Deep South Director, Mary Summerville and also enjoyed a delightful visit from our National President, Barbara May. We have had great moments and we have had sad ones. But through it all we remained true and faithful to our Louisiana Federation goals.

I will have the great pleasure of seeing our own two members Mary Sue Colvin and Margo Racca installed as Deep South Director and Alternate Director. How great that will be!

The 2009 State Convention will be hosted by District V. I hope to see all of you there so I can personally thank each of you for your support.

I wish for you all the best of everything life can bring.

Your president,
      Sybil
