The LGCF is affiliated with the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Region. NGC is the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world.

We are a very diverse organization with many projects and programs. We encourage you to look at our many interesting activities. A very community minded organization; we have sponsored the Cleanest City Contest since 1958. The contest promotes a continuous campaign against littering and strives to instill civic pride in our citizens. It is a very popular and successful contest with towns and cities throughout the state.

Our education programs include landscape design courses, flower show schools and gardening study courses. Check our Events Calendar for information about the time and location of the courses. We also award annual college scholarships to students.

Our organization provides leadership in community service programs, encourages roadside development and civic projects. We present awards to outstanding projects in these fields. The LGCF also sponsors youth garden clubs and programs. Do contact us if your child would like to participate. The environment is very important to us. Conservation and protection of Louisiana's natural resources, environmental awareness, and appreciation of the state's natural beauty are promoted by the LGCF and its members. We aid in the conservation and preservation of ancient live oak trees by registering them in the Live Oak Society. Contact us if you have a live oak you would like to register.

The members of the Louisiana Garden Club Federation are dedicated to providing a better quality of life for the citizens of Louisiana. You are encouraged to contact us for further information. We will be delighted to hear from you.
