2007-2008 LGCF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM GUIDELINES



SCHOLARSHIPS
Dottie Hebert, LGCF Scholarship Chairman

Report of the Scholarship Committee
August 6, 2007

The Scholarship Committee met on Thursday, August 2, 2007 to select the
recipients for the 2007-2008 academic year. Scholarships were available and
there were six applicants, some with multiple applications. Those
attending the selection meeting were Mary Jacobs, LGCF Historian,  Billie
Massa, former LGCF President and committee member, Dolores Masson LGCF
Representative-at-Large and committee member, Eleanore Capretto LGCF Life
Membership Chairman and committee member, Jo Ann Christopher LGCF Tour
Chairman and representing Louisiana Landscape Design Consultants and the
Gardening Consultants and Dottie Heber, Scholarship Chairman.

Amanda Anthony, a senior in Landscape Architecture at LSU Baton Rouge,
will receive the $1,000 Anite Currault  Scholarship.

Megan Colwart, a senior in  Landscape  Architecture at LSU Baton Rouge,
will receive a LGCF $1,000 Scholarship.

Brock Gerald, a senior in Horticulture at Southeastern University in
Hammond will receive a LGCF $1,000 Scholarship and the $500 Neil
Christopher Louisiana Landscape Design  Consultants  Council  Book
Scholarship.

Denton Culpepper, a senior in Forestry/Wildlife Conservation at Louisiana
Tech in Ruston will receive the $1,000 Irene M. Petijean Horticulture
Scholarship.

Sharmila Pathikonda, a PhD candidate at the University of Louisiana at
Lafayette, will receive the $1,000 Ducie Heaney Horticulture Scholarship
and the $500 Gardening Consultants/Jo Ann Christopher Scholarship.

Dana  Delaune, a junior at LSU Baton Rouge in Landscape Architecture will
receive the $250 LGCF District II Book Scholarship and the $500 Neil
Christopher/Shady Oaks  Garden Club Scholarship.

There were no applications for the District I, District VII Scholarship
and The Sara Weiss Book Scholarship.
