JAMBALAYA IN HITACHI
1 (10 1/5-OZ) can beef broth 1 med. Onion, chopped 1 med. Bell pepper,
chopped 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped 1 stick oleo OR butter, melted
1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce | 2 ½ c. raw
rice (use Hitachi measuring cup) 1 (4-oz) can mushrooms, drained and
chopped 1 lb. Crawfish tails (chop if large) | Wash
rice and drain. Place all ingredients in rice cooker with drained rice. Do
not add any water. Taste for seasoning. Add salt and pepper, if needed. Put
rice cooker on cook cycle. After cook cycle is completed, keep on warm cycle
for at least half an hour. Serve with garlic bread and green salad for complete
meal. (Must be cooked in 8 or 10-cup rice cooker.) |
